Shipping industry calls for action

Following the drone boat strike against the bulk carrier “Tutor” in the Red Sea, various shipping industry organisations have issued a call for action.

The statement underlines that “seafarers have been caught in the crosshairs of geopolitical conflicts”. In this “unacceptable situation”, the industry wants governments with influence in the region to ensure that maritime trade and – more importantly – innocent seafarers are protected.
